After spending time on the range checking the student's swing the students spent the last half hour rotating in putting drills. Rather than just throwing two balls around giving the students different drills always work much better. Coach John divided the five junior students into five different drills that consist of long putts and short putts. It was a challenge to finish each station and move to the next.
Creating habits of challenges during practice is essential, so efficient training is key to success. Also giving a reward for completing a station gives the students motivation to complete with efficiency. Repetition of seeing the ball going in the hole is key factor for putting, it creates confidence.
