Assessment

• Alan is slightly over hinging and his right hand is coming off the grip on the back swing

• As a result he gets a little under plane through the strike zone causing an early extension

 

Cure

• Alan needs to keep his lower half moving and become more body turn and less arms

• If Alan can take the tension out of his arms and keep his hand on grip and hit with more body , it will result in less flipping and a more neutral club face through the impact zone

 

Summary

• Alan has not played many sports and is quite under developed athletically for his age. He is small and skinny and since introducing tennis into his program his body has woken up and his golf has improved rapidly in a short period of time. Alan needs to continue to train like and athlete and still needs plenty of time to catch up to other kids his age. He enthusiasm with tennis is great and he really enjoys the other athletic games such as handball.
