Karis Davidson claims the biggest prize in amateur golf, the Riversdale Cup

The women’s Riversdale Cup was won by 18-year-old Karis Davidson from the Sanctuary Cove club.

Davidson finished with a 2-under four-round total of 290.

With three holes to play, three golfers were locked together before Davidson broke away from Japan’s Ayaka Furue and Victoria Golf Club’s Gabi Ruffels.

After her narrow victory, Davidson said winning the Riversdale Cup was “high on my bucket list”.
