The Value of The Shortgame

The best players will play 18 holes and hit around of 12-14 greens but if the shot doesn't work well, then it's about 9-11. To maintain momentum in a tournament you must scramble as you don't expect every round to be hitting perfectly.

If you can only recover 50 per cent with a short game with putting, then you can end up with even par on average.

To score consistently well a good player needs to have a really good shortgame from a 100m and in and the number of birdies and pars will increase.

Let's always think about what you need to practice to improve your scoring!
